A new government fund has been created to help small and medium-sized enterprises fund management and leadership training.
The Leadership and Management Development grant makes up to £1,000 available towards leadership training, in a bid to help small and medium sized companies increase their performance and competitiveness.
Skills minister John Hayes is calling on senior leaders in SMEs to take advantage of the funding.
He said: “Effective leadership can make the difference between survival and growth, and this fund will give vital support to entrepreneurs who want to continue to develop their businesses.”
SME’s who wish to find out more about the funding can do so by contacting www.businesslink.gov.uk to book a free consultation for advice and an assessment to see if they are eligible for funding.
