Award/Certificate/Diploma in Management

The ILM Level 5 qualifications are designed to develop a comprehensive range of basic middle management skills, assisting participants in gaining the knowledge required at this level. All participants are able to choose from a range of optional units to build their qualification; this high level of flexibility allows individuals or their employers to custom build a management qualification that focuses on the key areas most relevant to their role, industry or organisation.

There are three Institute of Leadership and Management qualifications at Level 5; the Award, Certificate and Diploma in Management and Leadership.

The ILM level 5 Management course is a brilliant course, well organised and planned in such a way that it progresses well through each topic.

Who is this course for?
The course is designed for practising or aspiring middle managers.

The course covers the following areas:

How does the course work?

Study Time:

You can study at a pace to suit you. Your tutor will create a timetable for you, and will set you work and assignments to complete each week.

If you can spend around 3 hours a week studying, you should be able to complete the course in 6 months for the Award, 18 months for the Certificate or 30 months for the Diploma. If you can spend more time studying than that, you could fast-track and complete the course faster.

Course Structure:

To gain the Award, you must complete the first Compulsory unit and then add another 6 credits from the Optional units. To gain the Certificate, you must complete the first four Compulsory units and then add another 16 credits from the Optional units. To gain the Diploma, You must complete the Compulsory units and then add another 22 credits from the Optional units.

Assessments

Assessment is normally via practical work-based assignments.

Qualification Received:

You will receive the Institute of Leadership and Management Level 5 Award, Certificate or Diploma in Management and Leadership.

It covers a range of statistical tools useful to managers in analysing data, including: correlation and regression analysis; chi squared analysis; probability and sampling; distribution theory and standard deviation; estimation and significance testing and statistical process control.
