The Institute of Operations Management Level 3 course is aimed at those who are new to the operations management and supply chain management profession, or those who are already employed in operations management wishing to gain a formal qualification in the subject. The IOM Certificate in Operations Management provides educational support for industry with this general coverage of Operations Management and its role in supply chain management.
It is intended to give an introduction to business environment, to the supply chain from supplier to customer, and to the ways in which operations may be continuously enhanced to improve business performance.

How does the course work?
Study Time:
You can study at a pace to suit you. Your tutor will create a timetable for you, and will set you work and assignments to complete each week.
If you can spend around 3 hours a week studying, you should be able to complete the course in 18 months. If you can spend more time studying than that, you could fast-track and complete the course faster.
Course Structure:
The course is made up of three compulsory units.
Assessments
A 1500 word assignment is required for units 1 and 3, and a three hour written examination for unit 2. For UK students it is possible to sit these exams in the workplace or at the college.
Qualification Received:
You will receive the Institute of Operations Management Level 3 Certificate in Operations Management.
