Introductory Certificate in Purchasing and Supply

CIPS Level 2 is designed as an introductory purchasing course for those who aspire to work in or are new to purchasing and supply. It gives an overview of the fundamental principles and processes in purchasing and supply.

Certificate in Purchasing and Supply

CIPS Level 3 is designed for those who are new to a buying or procurement role with minimal experience and no formal purchasing qualifications. CIPS Level 3 is a procurement course covering the fundamental concepts, enabling students to gain the skills to develop their career in procurement.

As a busy IT Manager I do not have a lot of time for study but Distance Learning College & Training has enabled me to focus the spare time I do have to learning the necessary modules in a very efficient manner. Within the first year of study I had managed to acheive more than I have in 20 years in the industry I will be looking to use DLC again to help me further improve my qualifications in the near future.

Foundation Diploma in Purchasing and Supply

The CIPS Level 4 course enables students to gain knowledge and skills in purchasing and supply chain management to develop solutions to unpredictable problems, evaluate and use information to develop effective strategies, show effective judgement skills in planning activity and meet quality standards.

Advanced Diploma in Purchasing and Supply

CIPS Level 5 is an advanced procurement qualification, designed for those who have a significant level of experience working in a purchasing and supply role.

Level 6

Graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supply

The CIPS Level 6 Graduate Diploma qualification allows CIPS members to apply for MCIPS status. The course is an advanced purchasing management course, designed for those who have 3 or more years' strategic purchasing management experience, or who have gained the CIPS Level 5 Advanced Diploma and wish to progress further.

The Diploma has given me the formal qualification I needed to run alongside the 10 years management experience I have gained. The support from my tutor was of great value and the project I completed was of massive benefit to both myself and my company.

Where can I sit my exams?

There are a number of CIPS exam centres located throughout the UK in Durham, Glasgow, Bolton, Merseyside, Lancashire and London.

When do I have to sit my exams?

Unlike traditional college courses, opportunities to complete your exams are available on several dates throughout the year for all of our distance learning courses.

What coursework will I have to do?

Your tutor will set regular tasks and activities for you to complete as you progress through your course to help develop your knowledge and prepare for exams. Your tutor will continuously provide you with feedback on your work and help you to develop your knowledge further.
